While working on my Model B, I had the canopy cover pushed up. I don't have the spring on it yet to hold the cover up, so when I wasn't careful, the cover fell over onto the newly reporcelained black burners/grates that were sitting on the stove top. Now there's black scuff marks on the white porcelain canopy top - the white isn't scraped off, it just seems that the black is scuffed onto it.

Does anyone have a good, safe way to remove those black marks without damaging the finish on the white?

    tura.

You might look at a product called "GLASS WAX" - I used it years ago on a delicate surface with excellent results.

Be sure and read the directions, or find their website (if they have one) and ask them...
